Future Frameworks

About

Future Frameworks is an architecture, urbanism and consulting practice led by Yheu-Shen, exploring the craft of built forms and speculative futures.

Yheu-Shen is an architect and Principal of Future Frameworks. A scholarship recipient trained at the Architectural Association (AA) in London, he specialised in geometric systems, parametric modelling and typologies. At 20, he was headhunted by Foster and Partners, where he was a researcher in Group 1, Group 3 and the Specialist Modelling Group (SMG). During his decade in London, he became one of the youngest Chartered Architects of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

From 2012 to 2017, he was Lead Architect and Project Architect at Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) London, delivering high-profile and iconic projects across Europe and Asia. He was also part of the core team leading the design of Malaysia's next tallest tower for KLCC Holdings.

Since 2017, he has continued serving clients through Future Frameworks, balancing design craft with delivery discipline through strong documentation and careful coordination. Beyond architecture, he is also a software and application developer with a passion for programming.

His work has been recognised and published internationally, including being selected by D+A (Design + Architecture) as Southeast Asia's Emerging Architect in 2019. He has been invited to exhibit in London and at Singapore Archifest, serve on university design juries and reviews and as a judge at architectural competitions.

He is registered with the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and RIBA in the UK, and LAM and PAM in Malaysia.
